Terms and Conditions of Sale — Visitors
1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (TCS) govern the contractual relationship between CulturaTrip SAS (hereinafter "the Platform") and any user with visitor status (hereinafter "the Visitor") wishing to book an immersion stay with a certified Beninese host family.
2. Booking and confirmation
A stay is booked online via the CulturaTrip platform. The stay request is sent to the host family, who has 48 hours to accept or decline. The stay contract is formed when the host family accepts and the Visitor pays in full.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices are expressed in CFA Franc (XOF) inclusive of all taxes. Payment is made in full at the time of booking via CinetPay (Mobile Money, bank card). The amount is held in escrow until 3 days after the Visitor's departure.
4. Financial distribution
The total price paid by the Visitor is distributed as follows:
- 45% to the host family
- 25% to participating local actors (guide, photographer, driver)
- 10% to the local coordinator
- 20% retained by CulturaTrip as a service commission
5. Cancellation policy
The Visitor may cancel their booking from their personal space. The refund is calculated based on the time before the scheduled arrival date:
| Time before arrival | Refund |
|---|---|
| More than 14 days | 80% of total amount |
| Between 7 and 14 days | 50% of total amount |
| Less than 7 days | No refund |
Bank processing fees are non-refundable in all cases.
6. Listing accuracy guarantee
If the accommodation does not match the published listing (missing amenities, incorrect photos, insufficient hygiene conditions), the Visitor must report it within the first 4 hours of arrival. CulturaTrip commits to intervening within 24 hours.
7. Liability
CulturaTrip acts as an intermediary platform. Direct responsibility for the stay lies with the host family. CulturaTrip cannot be held liable for damages resulting from force majeure events.
8. Personal data
The processing of Visitor personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy available on the platform.
9. Applicable law
These TCS are subject to Beninese law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent jurisdiction of Cotonou, Benin.
